FireStarter Consulting is an agile governance and foresight advisory firm working at the nexus of equity, strategy, organizational culture, and decolonial governance systems. We strengthen board effectiveness, decision quality, organizational culture, and strategic foresight.
We specialise in:
Our philosophy:
“Power shared is power multiplied.”
We design mechanisms that expand strategic clarity, strengthen organizational culture, and help boards anticipate emerging risks and opportunities.
Our mission is to support organizations committed to transformative development by integrating trauma-informed and decolonial approaches into their work.
Our services are geared towards supporting organizations position strongly and perform well in the era of demographic changes, digital acceleration and new foreign government priorities. We are committed to doing business differently and driving sustainable results with innovative solutions.
Our approach is grounded in our Shared Power Governance Framework™, a decolonial and culturally intelligent model that recognises leadership as collective, multidirectional, and strengthened by inclusive representation.
This framework translates decolonial principles, sovereignty, legacy, community responsibility (nyika inovakwa nevene vayo), into practical governance systems.
It strengthens boards by shifting from:
Traditional Governance
Shared Power Governance™
Authority as control
Authority as stewardship
Leadership as position
Leadership as contribution
Representation as optics
Representation as authorised voice
Governance as compliance
Governance as strategic foresight
These pillars support organizational ambition to build a sovereign, future-ready, demographically aligned governance culture, leading to high-performing teams and organizations.

Our commitment to decolonial practice is central to our work. These methodologies are essential for fostering environments where all individuals can participate fully and equitably.
